DJI Brings The UTC Program To Japan


September7, 2018 – DJI, the world’s leader in civilian drones and aerial imaging technology, today, launched the UTC (Unmanned Aerial Systems Training Center) in Japan, a program designed to providing individual and business drone operators with professional training in the classroom and on the field.



Japan UTC Program will start with offering UAV Photogrammetric training, a surveying course co-developed by Komatsu Corporation, a comprehensive machine maker. This course offers two versions for beginners and intermediate users according to the practical experience of Drone. Students can learn the purpose, roles and procedures of photogrammetry, the method of piloting drone, related laws and so on systematically and master the skills required at the site.



Through the UTC program, DJI JAPAN will contribute for Japanese industry by providing the industry drone education program.


As demand for drone technology applications continues to grow, the UTC program will empower professionals and enterprises with the necessary knowledge and skills they need to become faster, more efficient in their line of work. UTC will also help nurture a new pool of talent and bring new business opportunities especially in the areas of surveying, construction, inspection and public safety.


Started in 2016, UTC program has been successfully launched in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan. Over 150 UTC campuses has been set up and trained over 20,000 professional pilots. We look forward to working with professionals and enterprises in more countries and areas to grow the UAV ecosystem and bring this technology to different industries.
