DJI is partnering with RMUS to extend DJI’s Unmanned Aerial Systems Training Center (UTC) program to North America. The program is designed to provide individual and commercial drone operators with professional training online and in the field.

On Oct 16, 2017, the Guangzhou Civil Aviation College and the UTC held a cooperation ceremony to set up a joint training center to cultivate UAV talents.
On Nov 6, 2017, the Yunnan Power Grid worked cooperatively with the UTC to establish the Yunnan Power Grid & UTC Training Center. The Center aims to further facilitate and regulate the application of the Yunnan Power Grid’s multirotor drones for overhead transmission line inspection, search and rescue, and more. This cooperation will effectively improve staff drone operation skills, increase inspection efficiency, quality and emergency handling ability, strengthen the company’s drone management ability, and better promote drone inspection and training businesses.
At 9:10 am on May 10, 2017, Zhang Lincang, a fugitive of the “502” case and A-level wanted criminal of the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department, was arrested in the mountain area of Songming County, Yunnan by local authorities. DJI drones played an important role in apprehending the criminal.

The State Grid Corporation of China & UTC Training and Testing Center was established on Sept 6, 2017, by the China Electric Power Research Institute and the UTC with the aim of cultivating 10,000 professional UAV power line inspectors in three years and lifting power line inspection to the next level.
On Jun 6, 2016, DJI established the Unmanned Aerial Systems Training Center (UTC) in Shenzhen. The UTC offers a series of UAS training courses for different industries, culminating in a certification exam. DJI aims to make the UTC Certificate an internationally recognized UAS certification system.
